RAMENPROFITABLEChangelog Β· shipped every day Β· just like the game tells you to
π The game says ship every two weeks. We try to hold ourselves to a harder drumbeat β here's everything that shipped, day by day, since the first cup of ramen.
- π
The Daily Challenge. One shared run per day β same seed, same chaos, for every founder on the planet. If your week 31 server fire felt personal, it wasn't: everyone got it. One attempt, new run at local midnight.
- πΆοΈ Every third daily is a π° VC day β hard mode, board deadline and all. Same rule for everyone, so the bragging stays fair.
- π² Challenge links.Daily run cards now end with a "beat my run" link. Friends play your exact seed β same events, their choices β without spending their own daily attempt.
- π§Ή The Refactormove now announces itself the week tech debt first piles up, instead of quietly appearing and hoping you'd notice. (Many of you never did. That one's on us.)
- π·οΈ The "Debt" bar is now "Tech debt" β it sat right next to your cash and scared people about the wrong thing.
- π¬ The landing page widget now plays an actual little run β ship, churn wave, podcast bump β instead of being a screenshot pretending to be a game.
- π Added anonymous play stats (runs started, endings reached) so we balance the game on data instead of vibes.
- π The RAMENPROFITABLE logo is now a way home from every page β and it asks before abandoning a run in progress, because we know how that cursor slips.
- π₯ Daily streaks.Consecutive dailies now count, show on the daily card, and brag on your run card ("π₯ 7-day streak"). Miss a day and it's back to one β you know how this works.
- π·οΈ Name your startup. An optional name field (with a π² generator for the uninspired) threads through the whole run β "π TacoStack: out of cash, week 13" is a much better story than an anonymous bankruptcy.
- π The break-even bell. The week your MRR first covers the burn used to pass in silence β the single best moment of the whole journey, and the game justβ¦ kept going. Now it rings: banner, log line, the works. Plus smaller milestone moments for your first paying customer, $100 MRR, and the halfway mark.
- π©Ή Fixed: the game now loads even when your browser blocks storage entirely (looking at you, "Block all cookies"). Trophies and streaks can't persist there, but the ramen still cooks.
- π©Ή Fixed: flawless wins were getting consoled with "sometimes the dice just hate you." The post-mortem now knows when you actually won.
- π The break-even bell now rings on the win screen too. Most winning runs blow through break-even and the goal in the same week, and the single best moment of the journey was getting skipped β right at the moment you'd earned it.
- π² Challenge links are now real DAILY-n seeds only β hand-typed ?seed= URLs (including suspiciously future-dated ones, nice try) no longer render a challenge card.
- π This changelog. Hello.
- π
Letter grades on every win, S through D, calibrated against thousands of simulated optimal runs. Only about 1 perfectly-played run in 10 earns the S β if you got one, frame it.
- π Run titles. Every run now ends with the story it earned: Phoenix, Burnout Collector, Zero-Pivot Purist, Builder in the Void, So Closeβ¦
- π The run card grew an MRR sparkline β your whole arc in twelve characters, ending in a π if you made it.
- π 10 achievementsand a trophy shelf on the start screen. Some are skill. One is pure luck. You'll know it when it hits.
- π€« A full strategy guide exists nowβ¦ behind an old cheat code. Losing twice tends to jog the memory.
- π¬ Under the hood: the game logic moved into a pure engine wired to a Monte Carlo simulator β every balance claim above is tested on thousands of runs, not guessed.
- π Ramen Profitable launches. One move per week, two modes β π± Bootstrapped ($5k, no deadline, no mercy) and π° VC-backed ($50k, week-60 board review) β and one goal: get the internet to pay your rent before the money runs out.
- π Tech debt. Every ship leaves spaghetti behind. Let it pile up and builds slow down, deploys collapse, servers melt at 2am. Refactor exists for a reason.
- π€ A third ending.Around week 20, with real customers, a bigger competitor might email. Selling is a real ending β whether it's a win is between you and your run card.
- π A deck of dilemmas: the whale customer, the platform price hike, the tax office (it finds everyone), the sick week, the save-the-churner call, your best friend's wedding.
- π¦ A celebrity tweet event exists. Roughly 1 run in 40. It cannot be farmed, only received.
- π Every ending produces a shareable run card β wins and faceplants alike. Especially the faceplants.
